Claude Giroux

For the first time in his NHL career, Claude Giroux is headed to a new destination.

The Philadelphia Flyers traded Giroux, young forwards German Rubstov and Connor Bunnaman and a 2024 fifth-round pick in exchange for prospect Owen Tippett, a 2024 first-round pick and a 2023 third-rounder.

Giroux played in his 1,000th NHL game on Thursday night, the final game of his career with the only team he has ever played for. Giroux finished his run with the Flyers with 900 regular-season points and another 73 playoff points in 85 outings. Giroux led the NHL in scoring in 2017-18 with 102 points, highlighted by a career-high 68 assists.
